Description
Black with white patches & crown; frosted nose & airplane ears. Sally is what happens when a purebred Alpine buck decides to jump the fence for a purebred Nubian doe; otherwise known as an experimental. But if you ask us, this "experiment" was a success. Sally is a great doe to have on the farm, especially when you're in need of a surrogate milker. She has a huge udder, but her teats are a little large. I hand milk, so that is a plus to me. She produces a lot of milk and holds her milk the longest of the does. Sally can be a little pushy with the other does, due to the Alpine in her, but she's really just a sweet Nubian at heart. When bred with our purebred Nubian bucks, Sally's kids favor the Nubian characteristics.Pictures
